Involving service users and carers in decision-making is a key enabler to innovation in mental health service delivery

Denis joined FCC in March 2021 as the Policy and Research Officer. She is currently a PhD student at King’s College London, where she specialises in mental health interventions for adolescents. For the past two years, she has worked in the research and policy sector for various NGOs. She helped with the development of a mental health web app for Miricyl and she worked for the Health Action Campaign on various topics surrounding mental health. Previously, Denis was a neuroscience research student at University College London (UCL), where she was investigating the neurobiological mechanisms underlying chronic pain. Denis is passionate about improving mental healthcare using technology and she hopes to use her research and communication skills to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and its implementation in health and social care.
