Future Care Capital | Associate opportunities
Have you made change happen in health and care?
Want to do more to create impact? We'd like to talk.
Future Care Capital (FCC) is expanding its network of Associates.
We are looking for experienced professionals who know how to turn ambitious ideas into practical, sustainable change, people who have made things happen, overcome barriers and delivered meaningful impact.
FCC is a charity working with partners across health and care to tackle complex system challenges, strengthen collaboration, redesign services and pathways, and support innovation adoption and wider transformation. Our focus is on translating ambition into practical implementation and lasting improvements for people and communities.
We are particularly interested in people who combine strategic insight, an understanding of complex systems and hands-on experience of making change happen.
The opportunity
As an FCC Associate, you will:
- Contribute to meaningful projects addressing complex challenges across health and care systems.
- Collaborate with an experienced core team and a diverse network of specialist Associates, bringing complementary skills to assignments.
- Maintain your professional independence and flexibility while working collaboratively with FCC and its partners.
- Help organisations move from strategic ambition to deliverable programmes, implementation, sustainable change and measurable outcomes.
Assignments are expected to be project-based, with involvement shaped by the needs of individual opportunities and the expertise required. We would discuss scope, availability and ways of working with Associates as opportunities arise.
What makes a great FCC Associate?
We are looking for people who can demonstrate:
- Influence without authority, bringing people together and making progress across organisational boundaries.
- The ability to earn trust quickly and build productive relationships with commissioners, providers, frontline teams, communities and senior leaders.
- A track record of delivery, navigating uncertainty, competing priorities and practical barriers to achieve results.
- Confidence and clarity, communicating complex issues and turning strategic objectives into practical plans.
- A genuine commitment to impact, with a focus on implementation and outcomes rather than strategies and recommendations alone.
Above all, we value people who can show what they have helped achieve, not simply what they have advised on.
Why work with FCC?
Working with FCC offers the opportunity to use your experience and expertise to make a meaningful difference to health and care services and the people who rely on them.
As an independent charity with a small, friendly and supportive team, we offer a collaborative environment where Associates can contribute their ideas, work alongside professionals with complementary expertise and help shape practical solutions to complex challenges.
Our project-based approach provides opportunities to work across different organisations, systems and areas of health and care, while retaining your professional independence and flexibility.
Above all, you'll be contributing to work that has a clear purpose: improving services and outcomes for patients, carers and communities.
The experience and expertise you bring
You will ideally have led, or played a significant role in, implementing meaningful change in health, care or related sectors. We welcome a range of complementary specialist capabilities, including:
- System transformation and complex change across organisations, services and professional boundaries.
- Implementation and adoption of new approaches, including scaling innovation beyond pilots into routine practice.
- Service and pathway redesign, operational improvement and delivery of sustainable new ways of working.
- Partnership development, system engagement and collaboration across the NHS, local government, social care and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations.
- Organisational development, leadership, facilitation and managing change in complex environments.
- Evaluation, evidence, impact measurement and learning to inform implementation and improvement.
- Work contributing to the three shifts in the NHS 10 Year Health Plan: hospital to community; sickness to prevention; analogue to digital.
Your experience need not have been gained exclusively within the NHS. We recognise the value of experience across different sectors, disciplines and organisations.
Interested in working with us?
If you have a track record of making change happen, enjoy working collaboratively and want to contribute your expertise to meaningful work, we would welcome a conversation.
