29 November 2022 – Westminster Health Forum: Next steps for mental health in England and priorities for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Plan

This conference will assess the priorities for the future of mental health services in England.

With the Government’s mental health and wellbeing plan currently in development, delegates will discuss next steps for care provision, key issues in delivering new mental health access standards, and the way forward for prevention and tackling inequality at the local level.

Discussion will also examine proposed reforms to mental health legislation, and the conference will be an opportunity to discuss priorities and the future direction of policy with the Health Secretary emphasising mental health support in the Our plan for patients policy statement, particularly for children, but concerns in areas such as funding being expressed by some stakeholders.

Dr. Peter Bloomfield will be a speaker on the day to discuss our seminal work on the technology landscape within health and social care and research conducted with digital mental health tech users.
