Following FCC’s research with YouGov on the needs and experiences of unpaid carers or informal carers, we decided to develop a series of online courses for carers.
These courses were co-designed with carers and feature a number of expert practitioners who also have personal experience of providing care. The courses include modules such as: caring with someone with dementia, dealing with family conflict and managing your own stress, depression and anxiety as a carer. They offer useful knowledge, practical strategies and helpful techniques to enable carers to better care for their loved ones and are free to access.

We know from our research last year with unpaid carers that many of them want support and information to help them care for their loved ones. We have developed a range of e-learning courses based on feedback from carers that are freely available and provide some of this support and information Dave Dawes, FCC’s Commercial Director
