17 June 2019 – Launch of ‘A Forgotten Army: Coping as a Carer’

Past Event

Past event: 17 June 2019

Future Care Capital’s inaugural event saw the launch of our fifth report, A Forgotten Army: Coping as a Carer.

We commissioned YouGov to research the role and impact of being a carer and shared the findings of our research alongside our recommendations. Legal & General, who have generously supported this research, also kindly hosted the launch event.

At the launch, we had the opportunity to hear from Steve Ellis (CEO of Legal & General Retail Retirement Living Solutions), Briony Gunstone (YouGov Director), Natasha Ward (YouGov Executive) and Joel Charles (our Director of Government Relations and Impact). A number of organisations attended the event including Carers UK, Carers Trust, Independent Age, National Voices and the Care and Support Alliance.

We hope that the findings from the new study will contribute to the debate about how carers might be both supported and recognised for their vital contribution to our communities, particularly as we head into Carers Week 2019.
